We have you.
In November 2020, Key West voters overwhelmingly approved sensible regulations on cruise ships. But in June 2021, the Florida Governor signed a bill overturning the results of that election — following a disinformation campaign funded by the cruise industry and a lobbying blitz bankrolled by billionaire cruise pier operator Mark Walsh, who donated $1 million to the Governor’s reelection campaign, through 11 separate companies, as the bill was being debated in the Florida Legislature.
Your contribution to the Committee for Safer, Cleaner Ships will provide crucial support for attorneys’ fees, expert witnesses, communications, and research related to our ongoing efforts. We support the people of the Florida Keys and will keep fighting to protect our reef from large cruise ships.
